How to Measure
To measure your head for a boxing head guard, follow these steps:1. Use a flexible measuring tape. If you don’t have one, you can use a piece of string or lace and then measure it with a ruler.
2. Wrap the tape around the widest part of your head, just above your eyebrows and ears. Make sure the tape is snug but not too tight.
Face Width / Face Shape Advisory (Important for Cheek Protection Models)
While head circumference determines the correct size of the headguard, the distance between your cheekbones affects how the cheek padding sits on your face.
Because these head guards have extended cheek protection, customers with narrower face shapes may find the cheek pads sit closer to the centre line, which can result in contact with the nose or reduced comfort in this area, even when the head circumference size is correct.

Building on the proven platform of the SHG-250, the SHG-270 has been fully re-engineered to further reduce weight and bulk, resulting in a more agile, streamlined head guard that feels natural in fast-paced sparring and technical sessions.
The SHG-270 features a redesigned internal structure and optimised padding layout to minimise overall weight without compromising impact absorption. Its ergonomic profile is shaped to sit close to the head, reducing pressure points and delivering a balanced feel that helps limit neck fatigue during longer training rounds.
Visibility has been a central focus in the development of the SHG-270. With a refined padding profile, the head guard offers exceptionally clear sightlines and enhanced peripheral awareness, allowing boxers to read punches, angles, and movement with confidence.
Despite its lighter, more open design, the SHG-270 retains the high-level protection expected from a Phenom head guard. Multi-layer padding is strategically positioned across the forehead, cheeks, ears, and rear of the head to absorb and disperse impact effectively during sparring.
